Looking for a new way to bring some life into those standard ribs. These Asian inspired ribs have a punch of flavor and will give you a new outlook on what BBQ ribs can be.
Ingredients
1 rack of baby back ribs
black pepper
1/4 cup of orange juice
Marinade
3/4 cup of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of powdered ginger
2 tablespoons of triple sec
Sauce
1/2 cup of hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of honey
1 1/2 tablespoon of sriracha
3 teaspoons of lime juice
Garnish
Green onion
Sesame seeds
Directions
Start by removing the membrane from the back of the ribs, then cut in half and place in zip lock bag covering with marinade.
Seal and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Next get your smoker up to 245f. Remove the ribs from the zip lock bag and season lightly with black pepper. Smoke for 3 hours (flipping every 30 min). After 3 hours place the ribs in a tin tray, add orange juice and cover with foil tightly. Continue to cook for 45 min. After the 45 min remove the ribs slice into individual bones, return to the pan and toss with sauce. Return the pan to the smoker (uncovered), increase the heat to 275 and cook for 30 min turning frequently. Remove ribs when sauce has thickened and set. Garish with toasted sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onions. Enjoy!
