You know what’s wrong with most side dishes? They’re not dessert. If your looking for a last minute dish to finish off the table for your Thanksgiving meal, look no further.
3 Large Yams
1/3 cup of butter
1/2 cup of pecans pieces
3/4 cup of light brown sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 tablespoon of maple syrup
2/3 cup of smashing shortbread cookies
Start by peeling and slicing the yams into 1/2 in pieces, placing in a baking dish. Turn your grill to 350f and cook the yams for 1 1/2 hours or until tender. During the cook, add the rest of the ingredients to a bowl and mix well. After the yams are done add the pecan pie mixture over the top and place back into the Green Mountain Grill for 20 min. Let cool and enjoy!
